The Wild Child Jhumki hair piece, created by deconstructing the classic jhumki earring and reforming it to create a stunning hair piece finished in a mixed antique and oxidised silver.

Eight jhumkis are attached to create a long hair piece with a hook attached at the top.

Note: This is a heavy piece so will need to be pinned accordingly. You can also detach as many jhumki pieces as you want to adjust the length of it or to remove some weight from it.

Antique silver naturally oxidises over time when exposed to oxygen, forming a darkened surface known as patina. This gradual oxidation is what gives vintage and archival silver its depth, contrast, and character.

Each MAABAE piece is intentionally finished using a specialised oxidizer ion process after plating to create this vintage-inspired darkened finish. This process enhances the shadows and textures of the design and gives every piece its antique look. Your jewellery will continue to oxidise naturally over time.

For centuries, tikkas and headpieces were worn across India as sacred adornment, resting at the center parting of the hair along the forehead. Positioned near the ajna, or third eye, they symbolized intuition, protection, and spiritual awareness.
