At CULTURECLUB, every charm begins with a story.

When we set out to design our Tabla Charm, we knew there was one person we had to sit down with: singer Pragathi Guruprasad. We traced the story of her relationship with music, from the young girl who first fell in love with sound, to the artist she is today, and the rituals that remain part of her life along the way.

A tabla represents more than just an instrument. It's the hours of practice, the rhythm passed down through generations, and the familiar object that can unlock an entire chapter of a life. For Pragathi, it's the tabla she still uses to practice, one of the everyday things that quietly hold pieces of who we are and where we come from.

CULTURECLUB was never meant to be just a collection of charms. It's a platform for preserving the stories behind the objects we carry through life: the everyday icons that hold extraordinary meaning.

The tabla is more than a drum, it is the heartbeat of South Asian music. A pair of hand-tuned drums that carry rhythm, discipline and devotion, passed from teacher to student across generations through hours of daily practice.

For Pragathi, the tabla is the object that started it all: the instrument she still uses to practice today, and the one that first drew her into a lifelong relationship with music.
